Introduction

The purpose of this webpage is to educate the reader about the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Organization, which is the oldest advocacy, assistance, and special interest group for veterans in the United States.  During your visit to this website, you will be introduced to DAV 's single mission purpose, their vision of commitment to fulfilling that mission, and their values behind that mission. You will find information on how to get in touch with them, through both their National Headquarter and also their Legislative Headquarter location addresses & telephone numbers. DAV's annual report for 2013 is available for download, in which they give an auditied breakdown of all their financial gains and expenditures, and also their working capital at the end of the year.

DAV has numerous advocacy programs and bills that they currently support, and that information can be found on their official website (www.dav.org). This educational website is going to speak to one specific goal that DAV is working on, which is to: Build government and public support for veterans’ issues. With the launch of Operation: KEEP THE PROMISE 2015, DAV has started a year long effort which is aimed at legislative change for women veterans. The reader will leave this website with detailed information on how DAV is advocating for Women Veterans through education, public support, and lobbying to change legislature.
