Disabled American Veterans

 

Founded in 1920, DAV has become the most trusted advocate for the veteran population by tirelessly serving our nation’s injured and ill veterans. Funding for all activities for DAV comes predominantly from donations and fundraising efforts by the members of the organization and the community. Nonprofit Status
The Disabled American Veterans is a tax-exempt organization, and contributions made to DAV are tax deductible. DAV is a federally incorporated, nonprofit organization. It was incorporated by an Act of Congress on June 17, 1932. The organization’s Congressional Charter can be found at 36 U.S.C. § 50301 et seq. DAV is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax exempt under 26
U.S.C. § 501 (c)(4). Contributions are deductible pursuant to 26 U.S.C. § 170 (c)(3).
